About SitrepSun
SitrepSun is a short daily news brief. The facts, fast, with no ads and no spin. Each story is a summary in our own words, and every story lists the reports we checked so you can read the originals.
Who writes it
Stories carry the byline SitrepSun Desk. Written with AI assistance, checked against the sources listed. We don't invent reporters or put names on work no person wrote.
Price
Free for now. When we launch, SitrepSun will cost $4 a month or $40 a year. There is no sign-up today and nothing to enter. If that changes, the price and terms will be on this page first.
How to read it
We don't post photos. SitrepSun is a lean, fast summary built to save you time. Rather listen? Your phone or browser can read any edition aloud.
To have your device read a page: iPhone and iPad: Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Speak Screen, then swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen. Safari on a Mac: Edit > Speech > Start Speaking. Chrome and Edge: right-click > Read aloud.
- Tap a headline to open the story. "Open all stories" opens every one.
- Pick any earlier day from Past Editions.
- Search looks through every edition, right on your device.
- Settings (top right) sets light or dark, the font, page and article text size, line spacing and the reading voice.
- "Listen" on any story reads it aloud with your device's voice, then carries on with the next one. "Play all" starts from the top. Pause, Previous, Next and End sit in the player bar at the bottom of the screen.
- "Previous" and "Next" also work when you are just reading: they open the story before or after the one you are on. On a keyboard, press N and P.
- A red Updated tag means a story changed during the day. Highlighted, underlined text shows what changed. We fix stories in place; we don't hide changes.
