This site collects nothing about you. No sign-up, no email, no cookies, no ads, no analytics, no trackers, no outside scripts. Fonts are served from our own site.

• Local weather uses the rough area your internet connection comes from (the town or region your provider is in), worked out by our web host when the page loads. Your browser never asks for your location and we never see your exact address. We look up the forecast for that area from the U.S. National Weather Service and keep nothing about you. If you pick a place in Settings instead, your device sends us that place's rough position (about 10 km) to look up its forecast; the pick itself is saved on your device only. Outside the U.S., or if we can't tell your area, the weather box asks you to set a place.

• On your device only. If you pick light or dark mode, a font, text sizes, line spacing, Fahrenheit or Celsius, or a reading voice, that choice is saved in your own browser. We never see it.
• Read aloud uses your device's built-in voice. Voices marked "online" are run by your browser maker, which receives the story text being read. If you turn on voice commands, your browser's own speech service listens for "Next" and "End". That runs between you and your browser maker; nothing goes to SitrepSun.
• Search runs on your device. Your searches never leave it.
• Source links take you to other sites, which have their own privacy rules. We send no referrer.
• We won't sell your information. We don't have it to sell.
